International Student Officer: Rins Varghese

Rins the latest member of the Gawne Aviation team joins us to take on the position of International Student liaison officer. Rins was himself a graduate of an International student program, and now resides in Australia with his wife and growing young family.
Rins was born in Kerala, a southern state of India, where he with other family members he ran a family business. Rins passion for flying however drove him to leave the family business and migrate to Australia to pursue a career in aviation, and any opportunities that Australia would bring.
Rins aviation career in Australia began in 1995 at the age of 23, where he undertook fulltime study for an Australian Commercial Pilot’s Licence, and Advanced certificate in Aviation. By 1997 Rins had achieved this along with a Command Instrument Rating.
Prior to coming to Gawne Aviation Rins has built his experience in aviation carrying out joy flights and charter work and to supplement his income has been employed as a manager in a major Australian supermarket retail chain.
Rins has recently completed the Airbus A320 Type Rating, and is in the initial process of working for an airline in India as a second officer. This places Rins in an ideal position to advise students seeking admission to the Gawne Aviation International training program.
